SAFE's 'Saving Lucy' TV advert a huge success!

The plight of factory farmed pregnant sows like Lucy, featured in SAFE's ‘Saving Lucy' television advertisement, has been exposed to over one million New Zealanders thanks to an extensive advertising campaign. The response from the adverts that appeared on TV3 and C4 during October and early November has been overwhelming.Campaign director Hans Kriek says the level of support from caring New Zealanders speaks volumes. .

"The 30-second emotionally charged advert reveals for a moment what a sow experiences for much of her life. It is an appalling way to live, and pig farmers have no right or justification to force these intelligent animals to suffer in such a manner. The response and feedback from people to the advert demonstrates people genuinely want to help pigs in New Zealand," says SAFE campaign director Hans Kriek.
